Secondary Models

Overview

In more challenging OPSB applications (e.g. conflict resolution, substance abuse recovery), the primary PC model is supported by the following secondary models:

  • Five Key Motivators of Human Behavior (Motivator Model)
  • Basic Principles of Societal Resource Management (Resource Model)
  • The Dynamics of Trust in Personal, Organizational and Societal Relationships (Trust Model)

The Motivator Model

Identifies a hierarchy of 5 human behavior motivators, and how they relate to the CPT’s in the primary PC model. This relationship emphasizes the personal benefit each CPT seeks in personal and professional relationships and how to balance legitimate interests, respectively.

The Resource Model

Defines relationships between 5 key categories of societal resources and the priority needed in their management to build and maintain a healthy society. When this priority is respected, it fosters trust in government and other societal institutions.

The Trust Model

Defines principles by which trust is built, damaged or repaired in personal, organizational and societal relationships. These principles are crucial to developing relationships that are mutually rewarding and enduring at each level.
